Verification of Benefits Specialist

MBW RCM is seeking a dedicated Verification of Benefits Specialist to manage patient eligibility checks and benefit verifications prior to appointments. In this role, you will interact with insurance providers, document detailed call notes, and support our revenue cycle operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reach out to insurance companies directly to confirm coverage details and patient eligibility.
• Maintain clear documentation and follow client-specific formats for recording call details.
• Log process notes and actions directly into the customer's revenue cycle software.
• Execute necessary corrective steps and keep track of initial and follow-up verifications.
• Strictly adhere to corporate information security guidelines and ethical workplace standards.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• 2 to 4 years of proven experience as a VOB Specialist with a medical billing service provider.
• Solid understanding of the revenue cycle, eligibility checks, and prior authorization.
• Strong spoken communication skills with a clear, neutral accent.
• Capable of adapting to client-specific rules and generating relevant operational reports.
