Vembu is looking for a Product Support Engineer in Chennai to deliver technical assistance to clients regarding our storage and backup products via phone, email, and remote sessions.
Key Requirements & Skills:
0 to 2 years of technical support experience; freshers with strong skills are welcome to apply.
Hands-on knowledge of Windows and Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS) operating systems.
Basic familiarity with storage software, cloud concepts, and virtualization technologies is preferred.
Strong spoken and written English skills for telephone and email communication.
Prior experience in international voice support is an added advantage.
Willingness to work in night shifts (US timing) or rotational shift schedules.
Primary Responsibilities:
Address customer queries and resolve technical issues via phone, email, and remote desktop tools.
Provide First Time Resolution (FTR) whenever possible and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on recurring technical glitches.
Escalate urgent or critical system issues according to client guidelines and operational protocols.
Multitask efficiently while maintaining documentation and issue resolution logs.
