Project Estimator and Engineer (Civil/MEP)

Kaveen Consultants Private Limited is hiring a Project Estimator-cum-Engineer for remote commercial, healthcare, government, and public works construction operations.

Position Details

• Role: Project Estimator-cum-Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, MEP)
• Employment Type: Full-Time Remote
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM Night Shift
• Compensation: ₹85,000 to ₹95,000 a month with paid time off

Core Responsibilities

• Monitor public and private bidding portals like SAM.gov, PlanetBids, BuildingConnected, and BidNet.
• Review invitations to bid, analyze technical scope, contract requirements, licensing, bonding, and insurance.
• Perform quantity take-offs, review construction drawings and specifications for civil, structural, architectural, MEP, and fire protection systems.
• Prepare material quantity, labor, and equipment estimates while coordinating vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Issue RFQs, prequalify subcontractors, and assist in leveling proposals and comparing quotes.
• Prepare complete proposal packages, compliance documentation, and technical/commercial proposal documents.
• Prepare and track Requests for Information (RFIs), coordinate responses with clients, consultants, and architects.
• Provide engineering and project management support, review shop drawings, material submittals, and verify technical compliance.
• Prepare Method of Procedures, User Safety Risk Assessments, work plans, daily reports, and meeting minutes.
• Assist with project invoicing, cost tracking, budget logs, and purchase order monitoring.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or MEP discipline.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams, with familiarity in Bluebeam, MS Project, or Primavera being an advantage.
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret complex construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
