Senior BSP and Device Driver Engineer

Proxim Wireless is seeking an experienced BSP and Device Driver Engineer to join our engineering team in Hyderabad. In this role, you will focus on developing, testing, and optimizing robust system software for multi-processor architectures.

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and optimize initialization routines for CPU architectures.
• Create validation tests for complex system behavior in controlled environments.
• Perform debugging, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution in multi-processor systems.
• Configure and maintain optimal control and configuration registers for hardware components, focusing on MIPS and ARM CPUs.
• Conduct performance analysis for various use cases in multi-core systems.
• Port system software stacks and drivers across different platforms for seamless CPU and IP compatibility.
• Develop prototype software for hardware-software architecture enhancements.
• Work with bootloaders such as u-boot and Redboot, and compile or customize the Linux kernel for MIPS/ARM platforms.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• 3 to 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree (BS, BE, BTECH, MCA, ME, MTech) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics and Communication Engineering.
• Strong proficiency in C programming and MIPS/ARM assembly code.
• Familiarity with cross-platform toolchains, bare-metal programming, CPU architecture (MIPS, PowerPC), and boot sequences.
• Solid understanding of memory organization, memory barriers, MMU, and concurrency/synchronization debugging in multi-processor software.
