Backend Software Engineer - Bengaluru

SKS Talent Solutions is hiring for a Backend Software Engineer role (5-7 years experience) on behalf of a client in the IT space. You'll be working alongside other engineers, building and shipping applications that span the full customer journey. Expect close collaboration with the team to keep software delivery in line with enterprise standards, and the role also covers running product development workflows the agile way.

What you'll need on the technical side:

• At least 5 years hands-on in software engineering, strong in one of Java, Python or Go
• Solid track record with System Design and Software Architecture patterns
• Familiarity with observability tools - Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Datadog is a big plus
• Some exposure to secure software delivery frameworks helps
• Good communicator, works well in a team, structured problem-solver

On the education front - a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent (5+ years progressive industry experience can substitute for the degree too). Total experience expected is 5 to 7 years.

Day to day, this role covers:

• Building and maintaining APIs and tools to run operations over organizational data safely
• Improving deployment workflows and pushing for better framework performance
• Weighing in on architecture discussions, pushing for decisions that are agile and scalable
• Digging into bottlenecks in complex systems and fixing them through proper analysis
• Turning requirements into simple, workable solutions - avoiding overengineering on systems tied to the payment ecosystem
