Regional Coordinator Climate Change

iFOREST is looking for a Regional Coordinator focused on Climate Change and Just Transition to lead programme efforts in Maharashtra, with a major focus on the Nagpur-Chandrapur belt. The position involves close coordination with state departments, mining PSUs, local government bodies, and industrial entities while assisting with field research and implementation tasks.

Main Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary regional point of contact for iFOREST projects across climate transition and green growth sectors.
• Organize workshops, stakeholder consultations, and institutional meetings with government officials and civil society.
• Direct ground-level field visits, environmental survey exercises, and data validation efforts for technical research papers.
• Draft program briefs, execution reports, policy notes, and analytical project presentations.
• Expand organizational networks and collaborative partnerships throughout the region.

Candidate Requirements:

• Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, Geography, Economics, or related fields.
• 7 to 8 years of professional experience in stakeholder management, field coordination, and policy research.
• Demonstrated experience dealing with state-level or district-level government administration and PSUs.
• Strong documentation skills and capacity to handle field obligations independently.
• Fluency in Marathi is highly preferred.
