Development Assistant - MSSRF Odisha

The M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) is looking for a Development Assistant to support its RKVY project initiatives in Nayagarh District, Odisha. This role involves extensive fieldwork, community engagement, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices among small and marginal farmers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular village meetings, social mobilization, and group sessions with farming communities.
• Facilitate farmer training programs, awareness campaigns, and field demonstrations on crop production and nutrition gardens.
• Collect baseline data, maintain input registers, and assist with field record-keeping and reporting.
• Support input distribution and monitor on-farm, off-farm, and non-farm project activities.
• Act as a direct communication link between the local community and the project team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or Diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, Nutrition, or Rural Development.
• Candidates with Intermediate/10+2 and relevant field experience are also welcome.
• Practical knowledge of crop production, backyard poultry, aquaculture, and community mobilization.
• Familiarity with local language and experience working with Self-Help Groups or Panchayat institutions.
