Technical Coordinator, Cash Operations

Northern Trust is seeking a Technical Coordinator for our Cash Operations team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will oversee and handle complex wire investigations, support team operations, and ensure smooth daily deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and resolve complex incoming and outgoing wire transaction queries.
• Supervise workflow processes and assist the Team Leader or Section Manager.
• Coordinate across partner areas to investigate issues within established business timelines.
• Analyze and demonstrate expertise in FED, SWIFT, CHIPS, CHAPS, and cross-border payments.
• Identify risk-prone areas, build robust controls, and conduct root cause error analysis.
• Provide guidance, training, and documentation support to new team members.
• Participate in audits, Business Continuity Plan (BCP) exercises, and quality checks.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Subject Matter Expert experience with deep knowledge of payment systems (SWIFT, FED, MT/MX messages).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to handle downstream impacts.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with internal and external clients.
• Flexibility to work in night shifts and handle assigned stretch projects.
• Previous experience: 24 months as a Senior Analyst to move into this technical coordinator role, or 12 months movement between Associate Consultant and TC.
