Electrical Design Engineer (Building)

Aka Consultants is looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our head office team in Indore. In this role, you will lead the planning, design, and estimation of electrical and low-voltage systems for residential, commercial, educational, and institutional building projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design complete electrical systems, including interior/exterior lighting and primary power distribution.
• Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and rate analysis based on project drawings.
• Execute complex design calculations covering electrical loads, UPS capacities, fault levels, voltage drops, cable sizing, and circuit breaker specifications (ACB, MCCB, MCB).
• Draft Single Line Diagrams (SLD) incorporating appropriate metering and protection setups.
• Develop comprehensive designs for LV and security systems, including Fire Alarm (FA), Public Address (PA), CCTV, Access Control Systems (ACS), and Networking.
• Formulate Design Brief Reports (DBR) and ensure full compliance with standard electrical norms.
• Conduct site inspections as required and document discussions in Minutes of Meetings (MOM).

Candidate Profile:

• Educational Qualification: B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• Work Experience: Minimum 7 years of relevant background in building construction electrical design.
• Proficiency in preparing quantity charts and technical documentations.
