Consultant, Cash Middle Office - Northern Trust

Northern Trust is seeking an experienced Consultant for our Integrated Portfolio Solutions Cash Middle Office team in Bengaluru. In this position, you will oversee daily cash processing, trade settlements, and AML screening for complex hedge fund clients while driving process improvements and technology integration.

Core Responsibilities:

• Execute daily client cash flow instructions, verify AML compliance, post transactions, and handle wire payment resolution.
• Coordinate trade settlement workflows, client screening, and SWIFT connectivity across banks, custodians, and prime brokers.
• Partner with global Relationship Managers to fulfill client reporting needs and resolve cash breaks efficiently.
• Collaborate with IT teams to test, implement, and refine scalable cash processing solutions.
• Lead process reviews, conduct team training sessions, and escalate operational issues to management.
• Support ad-hoc middle office projects and manage account implementation processes.

Candidate Background:

• 6+ years of relevant experience within financial services, investment management, or hedge fund operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a quantitative discipline (Master's degree is a plus).
• Familiarity with FX markets, settlements, and financial products such as Equities, Derivatives, TRS, and REPOs.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (VBA experience is advantageous) and standard office productivity suites.
• Strong numerical abilities, process improvement mindset, and clear verbal and written communication.
